Three Thanksgivings

Yes you read that right. Will and I had three Thanksgivings.

Thanksgiving #1
We went to my Dads house on Thanksgiving to stuff our faces. It was nice. I went a little early to help make things and it was fun. Then everyone started showing up. The food tasted great! It was a very nice relaxing day. Will and I stayed later talking, having fun and planning for Black Friday.

Black Friday
Yes, I was crazy and went out into the shopping mobs. I first went to Walmart and I was able to get an okay parking spot, grab what I needed and check out pretty fast. Target I was able to get into quickly but not get what I wanted to look at. Kohls was the worst! I don't think I will ever go there again on black Friday- at least in the morning. The line was almost an hr long to check out. I was 15 min late for work because of it. I didn't ever wait the last few minutes- I had to call my sister to finish checking out for me. I'm hardly ever late for work and being in retail I felt really bad about it. But I got to work, opened the store and did my thing. It wasn't as crazy as last year at work so it dragged a little. Plus I was very tired. After work I went home and crashed.

Thanksgiving #2
We had plans to hang out with our friends Maren and Alden on Thanksgiving weekend but they had some family stuff come up- her brother was unable to attend there 1st Thanksgiving so they were having another one. So, instead of cancelling on us, they invited us to join them. It was fun! We talked, ate good food, and planned games. I love seeing my little Isabella!

Thanksgiving #3
I always have Sunday dinner with Andrea and her family and she decided to have another Thanksgiving because my Mom is in town. It was fun and yummy once again. It was a few of my sisters and there families, my mom and Will and I. We had a good time.
You can never have to many Thanksgivings!!!

Road Trip

Will and I had the chance to go visit my sister Cynthia and her family. They were moving from Texas to Arizona and We went to help unpack (and have fun). Will wanted to stop on the way and visit the Petrified Forest. It was cool to see all that but I confess I was distracted by wanting to get back on the road to see my sister, he husband and my cute nieces and nephews, one nephew I had yet to meet. We got there about 8 o clock, shortly after they had started emptying the giant moving truck. I have to say, my nephew Lincoln is so stinkin cute!
The next day we spent most of the day having fun. We went to the top of mount Lemon to watch the sun go down and it was breathtaking! It was kinda fun, there was a couple getting married up there. I see why, it was so nice! We sat on top of this big rock that looked out over the valley. It was great! Then we ate at Will's favorite place... The Waffle House. It was pretty good but when your feeding a lot of people it gets expensive. We had fun thought. The next afternoon Will had to leave to get back to school. That sucked not having him there but at least I had fun times to keep me busy. Halloween was awesome! We carved a giant pumpkin (and I mean giant) then my brother in law Tim set up speakers and microphones so that it made the kids think that the pumpkin was talking to them. I got to take my niece and nephew out trick or treating for a bit and that was fun. When we got back I got to be the interactive pumpkin. I was the voice! I made kids sing happy birthday to me, and just had a good time talking through a pumpkin.
While there I help unpack, figure where to put things and my favorite part, help pick out paint colors for the bedrooms. It was fun. My niece had pink of course, my older nephew is going to have a map/ war plane room, and my baby nephew has red, white, light blue and dark blue stripes on the bottom half. The top half is blue with clouds and a red airplane. It looks good.
I had a great trip! I hate not seeing them very often but hopefully it will be easier now that they live a little closer.

2 yr. Anniversary

Will and I celebrated our two year anniversary on September 22nd. It was wonderful! We ate dinner at Biaggis at the gateway mall. It was tasty. It was Will's first time eating there. We stayed that night at the most beautiful bed and breakfast- Johnson's Mill. It was fantastic! The next morning we went canoeing on the lake. That was a fun new adventure. We had brunch at a cute cafe nearby. Then we spent most of the day at the Park City outlet mall. I had found a cool watch online that I wanted to get Will for an aniversary present and after some research I descovered that I could get it at the outlet mall for $25 cheaper. I know, I'm a great shopper. Will was also going to pick out a present for me at the outlet mall. After much looking we desided to get me a new dressey coat for my present. I found one I liked but it was way more then we wanted to spend. We desided to try shopping around to see if we could find one cheaper. A few day's later my cute husband came home with the coat from the outlet mall. He said that he knew I liked it so much and that we prbably wouldn't be able to find another I liked as much for cheaper. Ilove it and I love my sweet husband so much!!! Two years down and a great eternity to go!

My 25th Birthday

Will woke me up so I could get ready for my fun Birthday day. He made me a breakfast quesadilla and it was very yummy. We watched Rainbow Bright while we ate. I love Rainbow Bright. I got the DVD of the series for Christmas. I used to watch it when I was little and loved it then as well. After we ate I got ready for the day. I had to wear my cow girl belt because we were going HORSEBACK RIDING!!! We went to East Canyon were we met up with the guild and horses. Will's horse was named Jose and mine was Billy The Kid. How awesome is that! The whole time the guild called my Billy because aparently "Kristina sound sissy". That was okay though because it was funny. We went riding for an hour and a half. It was fantastic! We went up the moutain, through the woods and ended up on top of the moutain. The view was breath taking. There were some dark clouds in the distance and it started to thunder and sprinkle but it didn't last to long. We had a great time! After will had to pick up a bike park in Salt Lake so we headed straight there. Will got his part and also bought me a White motorcycle jacket and pink and black motorcycle gloves. Thanks Hunny for the great present! After going home and cleaning up we went to eat at Texas Road House. Yummy! We tried to catch the Star Trek movie at the Kaysville theater but when we got there they were only selling single seats- meaning we wouldn't have been able to sit by each other. That would have sucked so we past on that. We went home to relax for abit then went to get chocolate covered ice cream cones at artic circle. Yum. It was a great birthday! Thank you hunny for a fantastic day!!!

Birthday Surprises

I had a fantastic birthday! I knew that will had something planned for my birthday but I didn't know when the fun times would be. I knew it would either be Thursday, Friday or Saturday. So being Thursday I primped to prepare for what may or may not come. And I'm glad I did. Will came home with my cute niece Saphirah. He said that we were watching her for a bit and recommended that we take her to the park and then maybe go to my Dad's after to say "Hi". Well, knowing something might be happening I was thinking that maybe there was going to be a party or something at my Dad's. I was wrong. We got to the park and there was some of my family and friends. It was really sweet. My sister Andrea made me a Lady Bug cake and Lady Bug cupcakes. It was so cute! I loved it! We just hung out and chatted for abit then they sang Happy Birthday to me and we ate cake. My sister had to put alot of red dye in the cake frosting to make the Lady Bug red, so when we were eating it our mouths turned bright pink. My little neice Noralai had dyed pink hands and face. Then we opened some presents. I got a cute teddy bear, lots of candy, and a few musicals. Thanks everybody! That was very thoughtful of you! After my friend Maren and Alden and there cute baby Isabella came to our apartment to hang with me for my birthday. My great neighbors Brooke and Andy came to wish me a Happy Birthday. They stayed and chatted for a bit. Maren and Alden gave me a great purple shirt, a pink candle set, and a cool picture for my birthday. Thank you and Thank You everyone for the sweet Birthday wishes!!!

My Marathon Man

We had a great 4th, 23rd and 24th of July. On the fourth of July we hung with family and had a good time. That evening Will and I watched the fireworks from Bountiful Blvd. It was a nice view of the fireworks and of the valley.
For the 23rd we went to the Bountiful Park for the carnival. I love it every yr. Even though I'm to old for the rides I have a great time at the fish pond, eating Brigham bread and watching my nieces and nephews have fun. After spending the afternoon there we went to watch the parade. It was nice but this year it lasted forever! Will had to go home after to get some rest for the marathon but I was able to party till late and watch the Mueller Park fireworks with my good friends Maren and Alden and her family. We were right up close so the fireworks looked huge! At one point a firework blew up on the ground- that was cool! I swear I felt heat from it where we were sitting. It was a great show.
On the 24th Will ran a 26 mile marathon that went from East Canyon to Liberty Park. Wow, I am so amazed with my wonderful husband. I couldn't do more then one mile let alone 26! I'm so proud! He finished in good time and got a cool medal for finishing. The rest of the day was spent mostly relaxing. We watch fireworks up at my sister Andrea's house and that's always fun. So, over all we had a great but busy holiday.

Road Trip

Will and I were able to get a bit of a break and we went to see my sister Cynthia and her family in Texas. We drove down there (Yeah, long drive) and it took FOREVER. About 30 hours to get there. We did stop in Roswell to see the famous Alien museum. It's not that great. Just alot of article's to read. Not that great but it got me out of the truck for abit. We got to Texas in the AM hours and I was so grateful to be there! Will only got to stay a day before continuing to drive to Florida. It was nice because he got to see his Mom for Mothers Day and we were able to clear out the storage unit that he had down there. While he was driving and working I was playing with the kids, shopping with my sister, and getting a little tan at the pool. When he got back we did the tourist things like going to see the Alamo and having lunch on the River walk. We had a blast and I wish It didn't have to end. I don't get to see them enough. The kids are so cute and fun... and full of energy. I miss them and can't wait to see them again. Leaving was hard, driving home was the worst! We got a flat in the middle of nowhere, on a dark deserted road in New Mexico. Ahh!!! So we had to stop early for the night. And of course all the nice hotels were full so we had to stay in HECK'S HOTEL!!! Really, it was. The only thing good Will could say about it was "At least it doesn't have bugs". And I'm not even sure about that. The next day he had the nerve to ask if I wanted to take a shower- Heck No!!! Never stay at a hotel with a number in the name! We were able to see acouple of cool things on the way home; we drove route 66 and stopped at the Four Corners. Getting home was kinda weird after being gone so long but I was very happy to sleep in my bed after Two lllooonnnggg days in the truck. Now I'm rested and ready to go on another trip.

Wicked: The Musical

It was Fantastic! I went with my sister Jessica. We went, we saw, we got the t-shirt. It was so well done. The music was great, the dancing was great, the actors were great, the whole thing was great! From the first moment to the last I was captivated and enthralled with story, music and wonder of the show. It's one I would recommend to all and would see again myself.

Hoppy Easter

We had a typical awesome Easter. We decorated eggs a few days before with my sister Andrea and her family. My niece Saphirah loved it and made a huge mess. My favorite egg of mine was one that had little lady bugs drawn on it. Will did a cool on with Indian art all over it. He's my cute, non afro Bob Ross. In fact, he also did a Bob Ross egg. It had happy little trees and everything.
We have a tradition in my family- we schedule with the Easter bunny for him to come a night early for us so we can celebrate with him on sat. and the more religious part of Easter we focus on sun.
On the night before Easter sat, the Easter bunny came and hid our eggs. So, when we woke up in the morning we had to search high and low for them. He put Will's eggs in the office and mine in the living room. Thank goodness we found them all. The Easter Bunny also left Easter baskets full of treats and fun things. In the afternoon we went to my sister's house and gathered with family. Every year she does a huge Easter egg hunt for the kids. There were eggs everywhere. It was great!

A Magical Evening At The Ball

We went to a real ball! It was fantastic! It was a Military ball for the National Guard. Will was dressed in his dress uniform and DANG he looked good! I didn't look half bad either in a long formal gold sparkly dress. We went before and had my step sister Mary take a few pictures. Thanks Mary! I had stuck a phone call to my Dad to let him know that if he wanted to see Will dressed up to meet us at Mary's. Will loved being shown off... Hee Hee Hee. After chatting for a bit we left in out magical pumpkin. The ball was being held at the state capital. It was so cool to see all the guys in there different uniforms; Navy, Army, Air Force, ect... Of course my husband looked the best. It was also interesting to compare the dresses and the girls there. There were some really "interesting" dresses. So "interesting" that I wondered if some of the girls where wife's, girls friends, mistresses or cheep hoe's. There were a lot of people there. They had a band and an orchestra that took turns playing. It was neet but very loud in the echoing building. They had refreshments of all kinds and a great variety of songs. We dances the night away. It was great! And we even made it home before our pumpkin turned back into a pumpkin.

Will's Birthday

Will is Old!!! Okay he's not that old... but he'll always be older then me : ) He had school on his birthday so we did most of the celebrating the day before. We went and looked around at some stores that he's been wanting to go to. The first was a cowboy/ranching store. It was pretty cool to look around. The second was guitar city and he had a blast there as well. After all this fun we went to Typanyaki (no clue how to spell that and yes I know that's wrong). It was yummy and very fun to watch. If you haven't gone we recommend it. They make your food in front of you and do some funny things. I caught a piece of shrimp in my mouth (even though I hate shrimp). It was funny!
On his actually birthday I gave him the present Walker Texas Ranger session 2 on DVD. He got the first for Valentines day. How romantic! We had a home made dinner followed by one of Will's favorite treats- Key Lime Pie.
Happy Birthday Honey!!!

Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day. We both had the day off from work and school to be together and to tell one another how much we love each other and to kiss and to kiss some more...

Okay, i'll stop so that you'll keep reading. I made us breakfast in the morning, but it wasn't just any breakfast, it was a pink breakfast (lots of food coloring). It was even topped off with napkins cut out into hearts. We exchanged gifts after: (don't be mad at my husband because i'm not) I got workout clothes- because i'm taking a yoga class and he knew that I needed some. There cute too. He did a great job! I got him a Chuck Norris calendar and Walker Texas Ranger complete season one on DVD. And to answer your question, Yes, my husband likes that stuff. Later Will made us a great Italian dinner! Yum Yum! Than we went ice skating at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake. It was so fun. Will did such a good job. He had never been ice skating before and he picked it up pretty well. It was romantic because they have lights on all around and you skating in the center of all these huge buildings. It was like being swept away from it all. After we had bubbly and chocolate dipped strawberry's.This is where you stop reading...
Why are you still here?

O, come on... haven't you gotten the hint!

Can't a person get some privacy around here!!!

Babies, Babies, Babies!

My Friend Maren and Alden had there first Baby and I was lucky enough to be there for the birth. It was a very special moment when that beautiful baby came into this world. I am so lucky to be the God Mother of the cute little Isabella. I just call myself the fairy godmother though : )

I have many friends and two sisters that are expecting. It seems that it's baby season. The two sisters of mine that are expecting are both having boys. The funny thing about that is that my family seems to go in flows with the baby gender. My oldest nieces/nephews are all boys. Then the middle batch are all girls and now we are on our way back to the boys. Funny huh? What next... And NO, I am not expecting- in case that's what you thought this was about.

"To Punish and Enslave"

We kinda kept it hush hush at first but it's finalized now so here you go...
WILL JOINED THE AIR GUARD!
We didn't want to make a big deal about it and tell people because last time we looked into it we didn't end up doing it. It felt right but then it didn't feel right. I guess the time wasn't right. He will be doing the same thing as when he was in the Air Force (fuels on jets) but on a big fuel plane. It will be the one weekend a month, two weeks a year. He could be deployed but were crossing our fingers for now. His unit usually goes to Turkey for about 15-30 days when they go somewhere. We were lucky and my Dad was able to be the one to swear him in. That was cool. After all the paper work we went to where he will be working. The guys there are nice. We lucked out and a plane came in. One of the guys took us in the plane and walking on the wing. It was neat. There are some scary things about it but also some good things. We will get all of his school paid for, a little money and a signing bonus to pay off some debt. And best of all... health insurance!

The Holidays

We had a great holiday season. We were lucky to have two Thanksgivings. The first was with my Dad and most of my siblings and my Dad's wife and her family. We
celebrated the weekend before Thanksgiving. The second was with my sister Andrea and her family on Thanksgiving. It was nice to have somewhere to go on the actual holiday, because lets be honest... I can't cook a turkey.

I was excited to hear that my sister Cynthia and her family were coming to visit from Texas for Christmas. They got here just in time for Christmas. We had our cute apartment all decked out in holiday decor and our beautiful tree to help us feel the Christmas spirit. The Sunday before we had a family Christmas party and that was fun. For Christmas Eve we spent some time at my sisters and then went home to be with each other. We exchanged one present with each other which was P.J.'s. I got soft pink ones that have an ice skating penguin. Will's has skiing polar bears. The next day I woke Will up by jumping on the bed saying "Its Christmas, it's Christmas". We were so happy to see that Santa had come to visit. Some of my favorite gifts were a big pink my little pony ( I had asked for a pony- who'd have thought) and Rainbow Bright the t.v. show on DVD. For Will it was moccasins and an electric keyboard. We had a great time opening presents and spending time together. It was a great day. Throughout the day we went to visit family. It was a great Christmas and we didn't want the day to end. My sister was in town for about another week so I tried to spend a lot of time with them. It was so fun to see my niece and nephew react to the snow. My nephew hasn't seen snow in so long that he doesn't remember and my niece has never seen snow. It was so fun playing in the snow and watching them sled.
I was afraid New Years would suck. Will had to work and I was afraid we wouldn't see each other at midnight. I spent the evening with a few of my sisters playing games and watching weird t.v. shows. It was a miracle- Will made it to my sisters house at about 11:57. I was so happy and relieved, I got my New Years kiss. What a great way to start off the new year.

2nd Year Together Forever
