Hoppy Easter

We had a typical awesome Easter. We decorated eggs a few days before with my sister Andrea and her family. My niece Saphirah loved it and made a huge mess. My favorite egg of mine was one that had little lady bugs drawn on it. Will did a cool on with Indian art all over it. He's my cute, non afro Bob Ross. In fact, he also did a Bob Ross egg. It had happy little trees and everything.
We have a tradition in my family- we schedule with the Easter bunny for him to come a night early for us so we can celebrate with him on sat. and the more religious part of Easter we focus on sun.
On the night before Easter sat, the Easter bunny came and hid our eggs. So, when we woke up in the morning we had to search high and low for them. He put Will's eggs in the office and mine in the living room. Thank goodness we found them all. The Easter Bunny also left Easter baskets full of treats and fun things. In the afternoon we went to my sister's house and gathered with family. Every year she does a huge Easter egg hunt for the kids. There were eggs everywhere. It was great!

A Magical Evening At The Ball

We went to a real ball! It was fantastic! It was a Military ball for the National Guard. Will was dressed in his dress uniform and DANG he looked good! I didn't look half bad either in a long formal gold sparkly dress. We went before and had my step sister Mary take a few pictures. Thanks Mary! I had stuck a phone call to my Dad to let him know that if he wanted to see Will dressed up to meet us at Mary's. Will loved being shown off... Hee Hee Hee. After chatting for a bit we left in out magical pumpkin. The ball was being held at the state capital. It was so cool to see all the guys in there different uniforms; Navy, Army, Air Force, ect... Of course my husband looked the best. It was also interesting to compare the dresses and the girls there. There were some really "interesting" dresses. So "interesting" that I wondered if some of the girls where wife's, girls friends, mistresses or cheep hoe's. There were a lot of people there. They had a band and an orchestra that took turns playing. It was neet but very loud in the echoing building. They had refreshments of all kinds and a great variety of songs. We dances the night away. It was great! And we even made it home before our pumpkin turned back into a pumpkin.

Will's Birthday

Will is Old!!! Okay he's not that old... but he'll always be older then me : ) He had school on his birthday so we did most of the celebrating the day before. We went and looked around at some stores that he's been wanting to go to. The first was a cowboy/ranching store. It was pretty cool to look around. The second was guitar city and he had a blast there as well. After all this fun we went to Typanyaki (no clue how to spell that and yes I know that's wrong). It was yummy and very fun to watch. If you haven't gone we recommend it. They make your food in front of you and do some funny things. I caught a piece of shrimp in my mouth (even though I hate shrimp). It was funny!
On his actually birthday I gave him the present Walker Texas Ranger session 2 on DVD. He got the first for Valentines day. How romantic! We had a home made dinner followed by one of Will's favorite treats- Key Lime Pie.
Happy Birthday Honey!!!

Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day. We both had the day off from work and school to be together and to tell one another how much we love each other and to kiss and to kiss some more...

Okay, i'll stop so that you'll keep reading. I made us breakfast in the morning, but it wasn't just any breakfast, it was a pink breakfast (lots of food coloring). It was even topped off with napkins cut out into hearts. We exchanged gifts after: (don't be mad at my husband because i'm not) I got workout clothes- because i'm taking a yoga class and he knew that I needed some. There cute too. He did a great job! I got him a Chuck Norris calendar and Walker Texas Ranger complete season one on DVD. And to answer your question, Yes, my husband likes that stuff. Later Will made us a great Italian dinner! Yum Yum! Than we went ice skating at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake. It was so fun. Will did such a good job. He had never been ice skating before and he picked it up pretty well. It was romantic because they have lights on all around and you skating in the center of all these huge buildings. It was like being swept away from it all. After we had bubbly and chocolate dipped strawberry's.This is where you stop reading...
Why are you still here?

O, come on... haven't you gotten the hint!

Can't a person get some privacy around here!!!

Babies, Babies, Babies!

My Friend Maren and Alden had there first Baby and I was lucky enough to be there for the birth. It was a very special moment when that beautiful baby came into this world. I am so lucky to be the God Mother of the cute little Isabella. I just call myself the fairy godmother though : )

I have many friends and two sisters that are expecting. It seems that it's baby season. The two sisters of mine that are expecting are both having boys. The funny thing about that is that my family seems to go in flows with the baby gender. My oldest nieces/nephews are all boys. Then the middle batch are all girls and now we are on our way back to the boys. Funny huh? What next... And NO, I am not expecting- in case that's what you thought this was about.

"To Punish and Enslave"

We kinda kept it hush hush at first but it's finalized now so here you go...
WILL JOINED THE AIR GUARD!
We didn't want to make a big deal about it and tell people because last time we looked into it we didn't end up doing it. It felt right but then it didn't feel right. I guess the time wasn't right. He will be doing the same thing as when he was in the Air Force (fuels on jets) but on a big fuel plane. It will be the one weekend a month, two weeks a year. He could be deployed but were crossing our fingers for now. His unit usually goes to Turkey for about 15-30 days when they go somewhere. We were lucky and my Dad was able to be the one to swear him in. That was cool. After all the paper work we went to where he will be working. The guys there are nice. We lucked out and a plane came in. One of the guys took us in the plane and walking on the wing. It was neat. There are some scary things about it but also some good things. We will get all of his school paid for, a little money and a signing bonus to pay off some debt. And best of all... health insurance!

The Holidays

We had a great holiday season. We were lucky to have two Thanksgivings. The first was with my Dad and most of my siblings and my Dad's wife and her family. We
celebrated the weekend before Thanksgiving. The second was with my sister Andrea and her family on Thanksgiving. It was nice to have somewhere to go on the actual holiday, because lets be honest... I can't cook a turkey.

I was excited to hear that my sister Cynthia and her family were coming to visit from Texas for Christmas. They got here just in time for Christmas. We had our cute apartment all decked out in holiday decor and our beautiful tree to help us feel the Christmas spirit. The Sunday before we had a family Christmas party and that was fun. For Christmas Eve we spent some time at my sisters and then went home to be with each other. We exchanged one present with each other which was P.J.'s. I got soft pink ones that have an ice skating penguin. Will's has skiing polar bears. The next day I woke Will up by jumping on the bed saying "Its Christmas, it's Christmas". We were so happy to see that Santa had come to visit. Some of my favorite gifts were a big pink my little pony ( I had asked for a pony- who'd have thought) and Rainbow Bright the t.v. show on DVD. For Will it was moccasins and an electric keyboard. We had a great time opening presents and spending time together. It was a great day. Throughout the day we went to visit family. It was a great Christmas and we didn't want the day to end. My sister was in town for about another week so I tried to spend a lot of time with them. It was so fun to see my niece and nephew react to the snow. My nephew hasn't seen snow in so long that he doesn't remember and my niece has never seen snow. It was so fun playing in the snow and watching them sled.
I was afraid New Years would suck. Will had to work and I was afraid we wouldn't see each other at midnight. I spent the evening with a few of my sisters playing games and watching weird t.v. shows. It was a miracle- Will made it to my sisters house at about 11:57. I was so happy and relieved, I got my New Years kiss. What a great way to start off the new year.

Jekyll & Hyde

The show is running right now and it is so fun. My cast has grown really close and we have a blast. When were not on stage killing people we are back stage dancing, stuffing our faces, pretending to be the person on stage singing, or just having fun talking. We even have "a song". It's a rap song (yes rap- I know- rap isn't my favorite but this song is fun to dance to) called LOW. The show has been an absolute hit! Every night it's sold out with a waiting list of about 25 people. They had to extend the show a week- which is very rare. So the show now goes till Nov. 7. If you haven't seen it yet and want to get your tickets do it now. I would like to say Thank You to my devoted husband Will. He has hardly seen me between work, the play, and whatever is left of my social life after it's been on hold for so long. Also Thank You's to my family and friends who have been supportive in coming to the show and being understanding when I couldn't do anything for the last while.

1 Year Down, Eternity To Go!

Will and I celebrated our one year anniversary on September 22. It was a very special day. I had work off -Will just works so early that he worked and when I got up he was home already. When I got up I was band from the kitchen. A few minutes later Will escorted me into the kitchen where he had a wonderful breakfast already prepared for us. Sitting in the middle of the table was a Willow Tree statue as a gift to me. It's the one called Promise where the couple is holding each other. I like that one the most because it looks like they are dancing. Will and I love to dance (mostly in our kitchen.) We just had a relaxing afternoon and then I spent forever primping. We got all dressed up and went to Temple Square. We walked around, reminiscing about when we got engaged, visited "Our Spot", and talked about the best day of our lives- when we got married. We had fun walking around taking pictures or each other and the temple. We had the most romantic dinner at The Roof! It was the best evening that I could have envisioned or asked for. We had the best seat in the restaurant- along the window, in the middle, right by the temple. The service was great, the food fantastic in display and taste, the view breathtaking but overall the company was the best of all! It was so romantic watching the sun go down. They had someone playing romantic Disney songs on the piano. That was fun because I love Disney anything! It was the best evening ever! The best part about the atmosphere was watching the sun set and the temple light up. Afterwards we walked around the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. We had a guy stop us and give us a little tour and he told us some of the history of the building. After he recommended that we go request a song from the lady in the loby who plays the piano. We went and requested "The Way You Look Tonight". It was so romantic! Even though we were out in public I couldn't resist topping off the night with a dance. So, we danced and she kept playing, so we danced some more. So it went for awhile until my feet couldn't take it any longer. It indeed was a wonderful way to end the most wonderful day. Will's present from me came a few days later. I had a pocket watch engraved with our names and the saying "For Time and All Eternity". This was the best Anniversary a girl could ask for! What are we ever going to do for our two year anniversary?

Im Getting Old!

I'm really behind on updating about my life, so here I go... I had my 24th birthday and it was great! My sister Cynthia came up from Texas "for my birthday" and because her husband was in training near by. It was a great surprise having her just show up. The weekend before my birthday I was blindfolded and taken for a very long car ride. It was at least an hr, in the heat, and lots of turns and dips. So, needless to say that by the time we got there I was ready to get out and have fun. My sweet hubby, a couple of my friends, and my sister Cynthia surprised me with a horseback riding trip into the mountains. It was fantastic. We went up for about two and a half hr's. I was nervous a bit at first because I hadn't done it in a while and my horse looked really big from the ground. Besides my horse wanting to eat the grass as we went. Overall it was amazing. We traveled up and down in the woods for most of the time. At one point though, all of a sudden we were on top of the mountain gazing out to the most breathtaking view! That was the highlight of the trip for me. Being on a wild stallion on the top a mountain. It was like a scene from Man From Snowy River. It was way fun! I was lucky and was able to spread my birthday out for most of the week. I had a family multi birthday bash, went swimming, and had a BBQ with my friends. I love birthday's! Except the whole getting older thing.
